PLEMKA PROJECT AT THE FURNITURE FAIR IN MILAN 2024 (Salone Satellite 2024).<\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

The works presented by Serbian designers at the Salone Satellite 2024<\/strong><\/a> exhibition as part of the Furniture Fair in Milan (Salone del Mobile Milano<\/strong><\/a>) represent the scope of the Furniture Design 2 course, which takes place in the third semester of the Master\u2019s study, on the Spatial Design module, of the Belgrade Business and Arts Academy of Applied Studies, at the Department of Art and Design<\/strong><\/a>. The fair takes place from April 16 to 21 in Milan and attracts 370,000 visitors from all over the world, including journalists, bloggers, manufacturers, exhibitors, artists, designers and other design enthusiasts. Serbian designers present their skills with the Plemka<\/strong><\/a> project.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

PLEMKA<\/strong> (SCION)<\/span> – Since ancient times to the present day, man has relied on the art of grafting, which makes it possible to obtain a higher quality variety of fruit. In this process, the scion is a part of a noble plant that is added to another plant, it unites with it and gives a new, higher quality plant.<\/p>\n

In a way, this skill, the use of scion, has long been present in the world of design. It makes it possible to create some new objects, which have improved aesthetic, functional and service value, based on already noble models in design.<\/p>\n

In the era of mass production and the ubiquity of design solutions in different domains, by way of the SCION Project<\/strong> we are eager to justify the story told by each of the pieces on display, to both the user and ourselves. The designed concept, with a foothold in the field of tradition and sustainability, has functional thoroughness. The forms shown can be part of both today’s and tomorrow’s time.<\/p>\n

\nKITE<\/h4>\n

Simple in its design, it is composed of wooden planks and cylindrical clamps with an additional wooden ring that enables height levelling when designing furniture.
\nIts main feature is modularity, which allows users to create different shapes using the same components. Clams allow elements to be rotated, adding flexibility to the organization. Assembling is simple, with no need for additional tools. KITE is easily adapted to different needs, from private to public spaces. It can be used as a shelf or a bench. Thanks to its adaptability, KITE brings functionality and aesthetics without limits.<\/p>\n
