The last in a series of B2B meetings was held on April 12 in Belgrade, in the hall of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce. The Inženjer and Arhitekta magazines, with the cooperation and support of the Association for the Construction Industry of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, organized this business meeting for architects and experts in the field of construction, where lecturers from the renowned companies FunderMax, Xella, Velux and Somfy presented their novelties.

The construction industry uses different building materials for different aspects of construction. Modern materials and high-performance solutions are necessary for the construction of long-lasting and safe buildings. It was the lecturers at this event who introduced the participants to such materials and solutions that can satisfy their needs and earn their trust, regardless of the project or location.

The first lecture on the topic of novelties in the premium segment of materials was held by Bojan Perić, a representative of the Austrian company FunderMax, whose products are used in interior and exterior decoration. FunderMax produces innovative, durable architectural panels whose solutions give architects unlimited ideas and design freedom, provide contractors with technical support and easy installation, and deliver building owners a sustainable project with low maintenance costs.

Project manager and BIM coordinator Aleksandar Đikanović held the lecture in front of Xella Serbia. The topic of the presentation was: New trends in housing construction – Xella Premium Solutions. The innovative construction systems of the Xella company successfully solve the issues of thermal and sound insulation, ensure a high degree of fire protection and represent optimal solutions for the construction of all types of buildings. In addition to presentations on natural materials designed to meet all the challenges of contemporary architecture and construction, the importance of sustainable construction, to which the Xella company is highly committed, was particularly emphasized.

Velux Serbia Ltd. is a well-known importer and distributor of Velux skylights, cladding and sun and heat protection equipment on the markets of Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. On this occasion, Velux expert Srđan Čamdžić spoke about the new generation of Velux windows for flat roofs. Skylights can transform any space and are ideal where there is a need to bring in a large amount of natural daylight. The beauty of flat roof window glass is that it retains its attractive shape and clarity indefinitely, while the tempered surface resists hail damage. Excellent insulating effects protect against external heat and cold and reduce the disturbance of external noise.

Somfy is a global company that has been helping and making life easier for millions of users around the world for the past 50 years: from the first roller shutter motor to Smart Home solutions. On this occasion, Somfy representative Kristijan Matić introduced us to the very important topic of the impact of automated sun protection on the building’s energy consumption. Managing energy consumption and creating sustainable buildings has become a priority today. As the average outdoor temperature increases, so does the danger of buildings overheating. Effective daylight management plays an important role, and automated sun protection can help reduce energy costs for cooling and heating in buildings by up to 70%. Creating smarter, greener buildings can have many beneficial business effects.

SOMFY – Kristijan Matić

The magazines Arhitekta and Inženjer would like to thank the experts from the companies FunderMax, Xella, Velux and Somfy for their cooperation, all the participants for the great response and partners from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in realizing another successful business event and networking. We will try to inform the professional public as much as possible about current events and the latest, modern solutions that improve the efficiency of construction projects.
